Contacting The Author

If you're a graphic designer working on a job that Mr. Toad's will replicate...

Contact the Mr. Toad's graphics department: (415) 777-5552

Please note that Mr. Toad's Graphics and Prepress personnel are not being paid to teach graphic design! It is expected that any designer who contacts us will have a firm grasp of the technical issues at hand, and will be calling for specifications or project-specific advice. If you need extended help, beyond what can be covered in a 5 or 10 minute phone call, you should expect to be charged for the consultation.

Contacting Marvin [note: unfortunately, I'm a slow writer]

It is with some reticence that I make my email address publicly available. I hope that this site becomes so wildly successful that I am overwhelmed by an avalanche of email thank yous. I suspect it's rather more likely that I will be overwhelmed with email requests for clarification and elaboration. Unfortunately, I'm a slow and laborious writer, and if all goes well, I will be able to answer fewer of these emails than I would like.

Therefore, I propose this deal: I will attempt to put as much effort into my reply as you put into your query. For instance, if you send me an email that says only...

"whats he diference between raster nd vecter."

... you're likely to get a response along the lines of...

"Consult either the Photoshop or the Illustrator manual."

... if you get any response at all. But if you send me a well phrased question, accompanied by thoughtful feedback about what was especially helpful or especially confusing about the material on this site, I'll try to match you paragraph for paragraph.

Here's my email address:

Don't bother clicking on it, it's a graphic, and it's unlinked. You'll have to type it in, letter by letter, into your email client program. I'm not putting an actual link on this page, because the $#*&@^* spammers send email-harvesting bots out to scour the net for valid addresses to send their get-rich-quick and get-porn-now garbage to. They ought to be outlawed, just like junk faxes were. For more information, visit CAUCE - the Coalition Against Unsolicited Commercial Email.

If you don't have the manual...

I will assume that you have pirated software. I assure you that helping people who don't buy the software, driving up the price I paid for it, is VERY low on my priority list.
